Clients / University of Puerto Rico

As part of the Permanent Improvements Plan of the University of Puerto Rico, this new 58,000 square feet complex located at the Bayamon Campus of the University of Puerto Rico, is composed of three rectangular buildings: Building A with two levels, Building B with four levels and Building C with two levels respectively.

This facility will hold science, computer and materials laboratories, classrooms, academic and administration offices. Because of the Faculty curriculum, it was important that the classroom spaces and laboratories to be flexible and adaptable to future changes. All three buildings are exposed concrete structures, connected by an interior courtyard in the ground level and bridges in the second level. There are also a series of walkways that connect pedestrian circulation around the complex at different ground levels. The firm was responsible for the study and compliance of the Fire Code and the American with Disabilities Act, among other compliance requirements.
